The store at Dinosaur Valley State Park is also a major part of the organization. Since 1993, all profits from the park store go directly toward improvements for the park. Close to $2,000,000 worth of support has been given to Dinosaur valley State Park over 30 years.
The sales from the Dinosaur Valley Park Store have enabled park officials to hire a summer staff, purchase an on-site home for the assistant park superintendent which has given added safety and security to visitors after hours, provide a handicapped-accessible trail, wayside exhibits and equipment such as ATVs, trucks and playground equipment. The park store sales, rental and vendor programs, and events like the Dino Dive help provide financial support for the park.
Friends of DVSP was setup as a non profit to help support the state park in 1993. All the profits have helped support the park for over three decades.
